When Joan Smalls' image flashed before my Tumblr dashboard I was all giddy with excitement thinking that I couldn't wait until my copy arrived in the mail since Harper's Bazaar is the only fashion magazine that I subscribe to. A woman has to wear her glasses more often after staring at a computer at work and at home all day because my eyes deceived me.

*the sound of screeching tires* Wrong country...this issue is for Harper's Bazaar UK and not the American version of Harper's Bazaar. Either way it's a stunning cover and I'm sure there's an equally stunning photo editorial of the Number One model in the world inside.

I wonder which one my local bookstore will stock, the one with Laetitia Casta or Joan Smalls???

Le Look Du Jour: Sade For Revista IO Donna-Italia

I've got to cross the digital pond to find the best in fashion, music and beauty because we are in a creative desert in this country. Every international blog is gaga over what's happening here, which is absolutely nothing other than a few celebs and beauties that might turn my head with their unique style, other than that I see nothing and don't understand their fascination. I'm always wondering don't they have stylish women and celebrities to write about or feature on their sites?



Anyhow, Sade is the latest beauty to grace the cover and pages of Italy's IO Donna fashion magazine, Jada graced the May issue and now Sade.

Sade is set to release new music and a DVD of the tour"Bring Me Home" this summer and I'm sure her fans can't wait.

Annie Ilonzeh Covers the Premiere Issue of AEON Magazine

I saw this is in the bookstore the other day and I must say this is a beautiful cover. The magazine touts itself as the Gentlemen’s guide to sex and lifestyle. AEON Men’s magazine is especially for sophisticated males aged 25-60 with a desire for style. It’s the pinnacle of the premium men’s lifestyle magazine market and covers style, culture, entertainment and more. I know we've all heard this before and I hope they're around for a while, but I seriously doubt it.

I say this because most new magazines start with aplomb and then fizzle due to the lack of advertisement dollars and subscribers and yet they highlight all of these luxury brands without a luxury advertisement inside the magazines. Or better yet, they'll start out as a niche publication and then do the old bait and switch once they make money from subscribers and become all of a sudden diversified like a certain magazine has done looking confused and indecisively ignorant of who is exactly their customers.

What's Haute Now: Shala Monroque for Town&Country Magazine

There's nothing like a Saturday where you can kick back and just relax. This made my day once my daughter said that I received a magazine in the mail today.

Whoo hoo! Shala's on the cover of Town&Country magazine and I'm looking forward to reading my issue. I tried to send a photo of the cover through my new Blackberry and it didn't work.

Cover Wars: Beyonce for Harper's Bazaar-November

I'm still hoping for a model who is working to grace the cover of some of the American fashion magazines. It's been over ten years in the making and I guess the current trend will continue. Anyway, Beyonce looks fabulous as always on any cover she's on.
