TWO LOOKS FROM CHANEL'S 'THE LITTLE BLACK JACKET' EXHIBITION

Two of my favorite looks from CHANEL'S THE LITTLE BLACK JACKET exhibition. I'm loving Akuol De Mabior's look with her beautiful head wrap and Ayo's photo. Their photos are some of the ones being featured in Karl Lagerfeld's new book "The Little Black Jacket: Chanel's Classic Revisited" which comes out this fall and will feature over 100 people wearing the iconic jacket.

Spotted:Elle Varner for the APRIL 2012 Issue of NYLON MAGAZINE

Saturdays were made for family, shopping and catching up on all of the international fashion magazines that I could find. While my daughters were out in the malls, I was hitting up all of the bookstores to see what they had to offer. I read them all yesterday. From VOGUE Australia to JALOUSE and when I spotted up and coming singer Elle Varner in the April issue of NYLON Magazine in this gorgeous photo photographed by Francisco Garcia I had to share. I made notes about all of the key photos that I saw so that I could reference them later for a blog post.

The magazine that I walked out of the bookstore with was ARISE Magazines Issue 14 and to me it's worth every dollar.

Loc'ed And Lovely: Actress Shanola Hampton

She may not be on the lips of everyone, but give it time she will be. Isn't that how it always is? They wait to write about these unknown and beautiful celebrities until they become more popular or until the mainstream media features them and that's only when they start to promote them. That's why I make it my life's  work to celebrate the women that no one else talks about.

Tika Sumpter, Rutina Wesley and Naturi Naughton for ESSENCE Magazine

I can't believe my October issue ESSENCE Magazine arrived earlier than usual. Not only is the cover of Mrs. Obama beautiful, but the editorial featuring Tika Sumpter, Rutina Wesley and Naturi Naughton in a Super Fly editorial is fantabulous! The editorial was shot by Tim Peterson and styled by the uber stylish Agnes Cammock.
