Spotted:Elle Varner for the APRIL 2012 Issue of NYLON MAGAZINE

Saturdays were made for family, shopping and catching up on all of the international fashion magazines that I could find. While my daughters were out in the malls, I was hitting up all of the bookstores to see what they had to offer. I read them all yesterday. From VOGUE Australia to JALOUSE and when I spotted up and coming singer Elle Varner in the April issue of NYLON Magazine in this gorgeous photo photographed by Francisco Garcia I had to share. I made notes about all of the key photos that I saw so that I could reference them later for a blog post.

The gorgeous Dap Toney on the cover of ARISE Magazine.

The magazine that I walked out of the bookstore with was ARISE Magazines Issue 14 and to me it's worth every dollar.

ROSE CORDERO FOR ARISE MAGAZINE

What a pleasant surprise to receive this message this morning! Rose Cordero is stunning on this cover and I thank Arise Magazine for being one of the magazines to feature models on the covers while the rest of them feature celebrities. I'll take a model any day of the week than the same recycled five as always.

I can't wait to read this new issue of Arise Magazine! I'm so proud of this young lady. Her face is such a palette for a makeup artists artistry.

On another note, I don't know if any of you read Latina Magazine, but my daughter and I do and I was totally disappointed in them for snubbing Rose Cordero and Arlenis Sosa from their so called top 50 Latinos to watch lists. How in the _____ are they going to ignore these two top models and only feature one? And for that my daughter says she's canceling her subscription and I don't blame her. Seriously, please stop with featuring only those who you deem as popular and introduce the people to the world at large. If the universe can hold billions of stars, I'm sure there's room for the rest of them!
