Fashion icon and mogul Iman has launched her own online magazine, Destination Iman, where we can get a few pointers in the latest beauty products and style that her brand and other brands have to offer the stylish woman.

Have I finally found something that speaks to me---the woman over 40 who is sophisticated, aware, fabulous and has her own identity? While other magazines, either print or digital start off catering to the established and mature women, they quickly abandon us once we build up their brands and revenues in favor of a more youthful market thus rendering us invisible and insignificant.

Can a woman find one that can thrive and coexist with her younger peers on a respectable level?? Anyway, I love what I see thus far and will bookmark her site.

BEAUTY NEWS: JOAN SMALLS FOR ESTEE LAUDER

First it was the beautiful Liya Kebede that was chosen in the fifty-seven year history of the Estee Lauder Companies ad campaigns as one of the first women of color to represent the brand, and now we have to beautiful Joan Smalls as one of the new faces. Asian beauty, Liu Wen has also been chosen as Estee Lauder follows the monumental growth of the affluent Asian market.

Pay attention marketers to the companies that feature true diversity in their ad campaigns by featuring women of color and follow suit by displaying these ad campaigns in various media outlets. Joan Smalls is now a "Top Model" whose advertisements will be global based on her appeal to all women.

Constance White Named New Editor in Chief of ESSENCE MAGAZINE!

Constance White is now the new Editor-in-Chief of ESSENCE Magazine.

Constance White comes to Essence with vast collection of knowledge and journalism experience having served as a fashion journalist for numerous publications and the Style Director of Ebay. The first order should be to end those excessive celebrity covers. Even though celebrity's account for one-percent of our beauty and style, why shouldn't we all be celebrated? We are what beauty is today, diverse and all that inspiration that Essence has given to us in the past, we'll be given back to them. Those are the memories that I have of Essence. I'm waiting patiently to see what she inputs to change the magazine and hopefully their website in progressive direction. Congratulations Constance White!
