Over the last few years it seems that many of us have become engulfed by popular culture that we forget about many of the great ones who left their true marks on our lives and inspired us to be the best at what we did or tried to achieve.
Florence (Flo-Jo) Griffith-Joyner defined fabulous on and off the track field with her alluring beauty and her own sense of style. She reclaimed an aura of femininity that had been denied to us for so many years and she looked good too all the while leaving a trail of dust in her competitors faces.

Even the Obama's are fans. Esperanza Spalding wasn't on the lips of many them before, but she certainly will now. For some reason or the other there are a lot of people who are so "2000 and Late" due to being smitten with those who the media deems as popular.
