Check out the music from this new artist Donn T. I love music and the mellower the better. We've got so many talented singers out there who never get promoted, but definitely have music worth buying and listening to. Donn T's debut album is titled Kaleidoscopic, which merges soul, dance, electronica and funk all rolled up into one musical journey you'll never forget. This CD pays homage to the old hits of the '60s, '70s and '80's while giving the listener her spin on modernity.

Donn T splits her time between Philly and London, which I'm sure her music gets plenty of airplay there...we need to hear her music on the radios here. I'm a new fan of this very talented woman and I could listen to this CD all day long.

New Music! New Music! There's nothing like new music especially when it comes from some of our favorites. My music life will be complete if Lauryn Hills drops a new album within the coming months, but I will definately be checking out new music by these three women.

First up is the beautiful and talented bassist Esperanza Spalding serving it to us Jazz lovers in a way that only she can. With a voice that serenades the listener in a multi-lingual lyrical display of Portuguese and English, Esperanza has what it takes to transcend generations and cross cultural barriers with her music alone. The singing group, Les Nubians which consist of sisters Hélène and Célia Faussart will bless us with new music titled "Nü Revolution" which will be released in September 2010. If you remember their international hit, "Makeda" then you know the duo never disappoints with their jazzy, and sophisticated style of R&B that is combined with both French and Cameroonian lyrics. Psst! Looking for some real music???? Well, here's an artist that will have you bopping your head and thumping your feet to her rhythmic sounds and her name is Georgia Anne Muldrow. The New York Times was right when they said that she is incredible and that she is something else because she certainly is.

The voice...phenominal...smoothe and finely expressive and she plays the piano too. The hair...The Afro... is huge and this lady is proud of her roots.

This weeks Afrolista is Brazilian singer Adyel Silva. I love all kinds of music and the only music that really matters is good music regardless of what language it's sung in.

I was completely blown away when I first heard her sing because she reminds me so much of Jazz songstress, Carmen McRae in her delivery even though it's in Portuguese.
