Le Look Du Jour: Yaya DaCosta
Why try to fit in when you can stand out in your own unique beauty and an eye-catching color!
Another one of my favorites when it comes to personal style is Yaya DaCosta. To me Yaya is the epitome of a woman who exudes confidence and an innate beauty that compliments any thing that she wears. Long before the so called turban trend became le style she was already wearing them. It doesn't matter whether she's rocking her massive Afro, a pouf of coils and ringlets or even her colorful head wraps, Yaya DaCosta simply rocks!

Le Look Du Jour: Solange Knowles Is Printastic!
While everyone is reporting on the borrowed gowns of last night's Grammy Awards, I stick to the real trendsetters who get me excited about fashion. Those who bring something special and unique and Solange Knowles is that special someone for me.
You can't go soft even in DVF prints like this...I'm smitten!

Fro News:Julia Sarr-Jamois For Barney New York's Spring Campaign
Gorgeous in BALENCIAGA
Gorgeous in Giambatistta Valli
While some in the fashion media have reported the return of the iconic '60s and '70s model Penelope Tree's return to the modeling scene for Barney's spring campaign, I just happened to rest my eyes on Julia's gorgeous photographs in the latest issue of Vanity Fair. Under the direction of Dennis Freedman, Barneys New York selected seven stylish women to complement Tree and complete the campaign. Similar to Tree, each of these women—Jane Aldrige, Sybil Buck, Sofia Sanchez Barrenechea, Julia Sarr-Jamois, Jessica Saund, Sarah Ruba and Marine Vacth—bring their own brand of individuality and beauty to the Barneys campaign.
Julia is a former model so she's quite comfortable in front of the camera. It's amazing how her popularity has swayed how the fashion industry is now conducting business because we aren't following those they continually place in front of us as the trendsetters and influencers, but those who set their own standards of style and beauty.Julia Sarr-Jamois from Barneys The Window on Vimeo.
