What's Haute Now: The Holiday Ad Campaigns

After a little retail therapy this weekend, I snapped these two new ad campaign photos featuring Chanel Iman for Forever 21 and Julia Sarr-Jamois in a major ad campaign for cosmetic giant Sephora.

Chanel Iman "Let's It Glow"

"She Who Leaves A Trail Of Glitter Is Never Forgotten."

After seeing the ad in the Sephora store I couldn't wait to get home to see if they had it on their website. No such luck, but they did have this gorgeous video of her below available for inspiration:

Homage To La Baker

Over the years many women have either tried to copy the style and beauty of Madame Josephine Baker. Few have succeeded and several have failed. I've got to give it to 'Super Model" Rose Cordero for being  a dead ringer, no pun intended, of Josephine Baker with her most recent editorial for Tush Magazine, shot by Ellen von Unwerth.

In my own personal opinion the only two models in the past who pulled off an identical Josephine Baker look-a-like have been former "Super Models" Pat Cleveland and Billie Blair, everyone else comes in a close second. Either way they looked glamorous while trying with their own personal spin on giving a tribute to the iconic Josephine Baker.

THE LOOKS: GUCCI 2011/2012 RTW

Two words best describe GUCCI'S 2011 FALL/WINTER-RTW Collection. Luxurious and chic! For Fall, designer Frida Giannini put basic black on the back burner in favor of vibrant colors such as teal, scarlet, lilac, aubergine and every jewel tome imaginable, all done up in a wide range of eras from '70s Disco, to '40s "Zoot Suit" style menswear. Glam gowns with just the right amount of sex appeal, dare to go there with peekaboo slits which evoke a '40s allure like no other. And the furs...PETA would have a field day...perfectly dyed to match. The GUCCI brand has certainly lived up to it's image as a luxe brand to covet. I love the bold lip and minimal makeup Pat McGrath  created. Simply gorgeous!Check out the rest of the collection  and behind the scenes here.
