FIRST LADY MICHELLE OBAMA FOR LADIES HOME JOURNAL DEC 2013/Jan 2014

As 2013 comes to an end we will have the opportunity to see the last of what some may deem as being iconic magazine covers. Some have been great covers featuring a plethora of beauty this year, while others have been repeat covers featuring the same old celebrities and models. Either way, the First Lady's December cover is glamorous and perfect for the holiday season. First Lady Michelle Obama sat down with Ladies Home Journal E-I-C, Sally Lee for an interview in September 2013 for this issue to discuss the Obama's Christmas traditions. Read it all in the December issue of Ladies Home Journal, either online or in your favorite store. "It pays to subscribe digitally."

Fashion News: Jason Wu For TARGET

Jason Wu will be the latest designer to participate in a TARGET collaboration. I hope his clothes are classics in the same realm of Isaac Mizrahi's for TARGET, which in my opinion was one of the best collaborations ever. The collection will be available February 5, 2012.

First Lady Michelle Obama Wows In Tom Ford and Barbara Tfank

Mrs. Obama looks stunning in this gown by designer Tom Ford at an elegant, formal state dinner hosted by Queen Elizabeth II, the first lady wore a white gown with a crisscross halter neckline. Mrs. Obama's hair was pinned up in a chignon, which showed off dangling earrings. She accessorized the look with white opera gloves and a silver clutch bag.

Fashion News:The Power of Mrs.Obama

Without a doubt, we can never under estimate the power and influence that Mrs. Obama has over the international fashion industry. From Jason Wu, to White House|Black Market, Duro Olowu, on up to J. Crew and now designer and COACH executive creative director,  Reed Krakoff can be added to the list of possible fashion hits and a designer in demand. Mrs. Obama has been seen lately carrying his ribbon tote bag, so I decided to visit the site to see what the news was all about and lo and behold, the teal colored tote bag is sold out. Mrs. Obama does have the power to generate sales for those in the fashion industry, no wonder why everyone wants to dress her. Rock the tote of your choice!
