First Look: Solange Knowles for InStyle Magazine June 2013

After Solange's fabulous entrance at The 66th Festival de Cannes, what better way to celebrate the last few weeks of May than seeing her posing in another gorgeous editorial and this time it's for the June issue of Instyle magazine. I know Solange isn't the only black female celebrity on the planet, but she's hot right now and she's everywhere and folks are going to celebrate her beauty.

This took a while, but I got them, plus I'm still relatively new to this Windows 8 and this cost me a few bucks, so please credit the source when you 'take' the photos.

Esperanza Spalding Made Satchmo Proud!

"On the Red Carpet"

"Missing You Whitney"
I made it home just in time to catch the last part of the Oscars. Viola didn't win, but she's still a winner in my book, and Octavia Spencer brought home the best-supporting Oscar. Esperanza Spalding did a perfect rendition of Louis Armstrong's "What A Wonderful World." Looking angelic in a one-shouldered white gown with her massive Afro serving as a halo, she dedicated a very memorable song to all of those who have worked in front of and behind the scenes in the entertainment industry who have passed on. I think tonight she even won over more fans to her ever growing fan base who appreciate real music.

Le Look Du Jour: India Arie Out and About

It's great to see India Arie back on the scene again after what must have been a self-imposed hiatus from Hollywood. India Arie recently attended the 43rd NAACP Image Awards in Los Angeles, California looking fabulous.

Top Model Jasmine Tookes looks lovely in MARCHESA but these boots are the star of the show!

I'm only serving up two looks from their 2012 F/W R-T-W show and these boots of giving me serious withdrawal symptoms! Dayum, they're gorgeous!

Roxanna Floyd 1960-2010: A Creative Force Behind Our Image

From the palest alabaster to the bluest ebony, Roxanna Floyd became a modern day female version of Michelangelo by using her incredible talent with the skill of a painters pallet- using our faces as her canvases to create her magic. The beauty and fashion world will miss a truly great woman. May she rest in eternal peace.
