Ajak Deng For The Banana Republic

Leave it up to your kids to check the mail-box... here I am thinking that all I received in the mail today was a book that I ordered. After making a few errands, I looked up and saw a magazine crammed into my mailbox. And what a pleasant surprise to see on the back of my daughter's Self magazine is an advertisement featuring "Super Model" Ajak Deng for the Banana Republic. Talk about gorgeous! The woman simply rocks!

The Way We Wore...

...and still can wear the clothes from the past in which some call vintage-I call them the classics. Case in point icon and "Super Model " Pat Cleveland at the world premiere of Ultrasuede: In Search of Halston which was held during the TriBeCa Film Festival this past, April 2010 wearing Halston.

You'd have to be under a rock if you claim to know fashion and not know that Pat Cleveland was one of Halston's muses and friends along with other greats, Billie Blair, Dalma, Naomi Sims and other Super Models of the '70s and '80s.

Georgie Baddiel Captures the Sophistication of the City and More!

Super Model Georgie Baddiel for Elle Magazine.

As I've said earlier on Twitter, I've been waiting patiently for my September issues to arrive in the mail
and so far, no such luck other than a Ebony magazine. So what's a woman to do? Head to the nearest book store to glance through as many as I could... which is what I did.
Even though I don't subscribe to Elle anymore so while flipping through it I saw this fabulous photo spread of Georgie Baddiel and had to have it. Yep, I broke down and spent a few coins on Elle even when I said I would never do it again.

Here are a few pictures from her ten-page fashion editorial shot by Laurie Bartley. Simply Beautiful!

And they have the audacity to say that models of color don't sell magazines, please give me a break!
BTW, Halle Berry is on the cover of the September issue of VOGUE! Check it out!

Halle looks gorgeous channeling '1920s fashion in this photo.
