It's All In The Details: Christian Dior Haute Couture F/W 2012

I see Marc Bohan's and Galliano's name all over this collection even though Bill Gayten and Susanna Venegas are now the head designers of this iconic brand. I'm reeling from the collection of those beautiful shoes. *swoon*

Glamtastic Flashback:Debra Shaw for Christian Dior Haute Couture S/S 2007

In Full Bloom...

When I saw Debra, I couldn't get her image out of my head and neither the exquisite workmanship of the collection.

It had to be the color or was it the music... Puccini's Madame Butterfly, either way I was spellbound and transfixed on the collection. That day the geisha of the East met the geisha of the West in living color.

THREE LOOKS AND THE REAL STARS OF THE HOUSE OF DIOR 2011/12 Fall/Winter RTW

Christian Dior Fall 2011 Ready-to-Wear
'THE REAL STARS OF 'La Maison de DIOR'

The "real stars" of the catwalk 'les petites mains' who work behind the scenes in the House of Dior's atelier, a trade that's quietly disappearing from many of the worlds reknown fashion houses. The livelihood of these men and women who create these beautiful works of art is at stake because of the circumstances that have come about because of this whole incident.

We all can learn a thing or two from this incident and that is, it doesn't matter how high you think you are and how much you think people revere you, we can all fall from grace. And I'm sure John Galliano and other's will think twice before they speak.  So, I say to 'les petites mains.' "Take a bow! Bravo! Bravo!

See the rest of the collection here.

Christian Dior Haute Couture-Spring 2007

For over 12 years, John Galliano has been wowing us with his theatrical presentations and interpretations of beautiful clothes. He has stayed true to his credo of creating beautifully elegant clothing from couture to Ready-to-Wear. At the helm of The House of Dior since 1996, Galliano has never abandoned the classic designs of Christian Dior but instead  gave women his own definition of modern glamour and elegance through his visual references to the past and beyond.

Galliano maybe known for his theatrics when it comes to his fashion shows, but one thing we all know for sure is that he produces the gowns and dresses to back him up when others have the theatrics, but not the clothes that are not even worth writing about, he consistently delivers.

Roxanne Lowit has been an integral part of the fashion world for decades and now has been given this wonderful opportunity to bring an insider perspective to the world of high glamour. Lowitts book entertains the reader with whimsical photographs that will surely become awe inspiring to the most discerning fashionista.
