VOGUE ITALIA FEBRUARY 2014: ACTRESS LUPITA NYONG'O BY TOM MUNRO

All I know is that Essence better have one hell of a editorial featuring Lupita Nyong'o in their March 2014 issue because she is 'killin it' in this issue of VOGUE ITALIA. The woman exudes confidence in every photograph that she takes and it shows. Tom Munro captured this Kenyan beauty just right and the fabulous Patti Wilson who is known to be a little avant garde, styled Lupita just right in clothing that doesn't over power her, but lets her individuality shine through on this shoot. It's great when you can just go to Zinio and buy what you want to and sometimes I just buy the magazines for their editorials which might feature my favorite models or celebrities. Enjoy!

As I said yesterday: "actress Lupita Nyong'o is on a roll." All I can is to enjoy this attention why you can because folks are fickle, you're hot one moment and then it's on to the next popular or hot thing and then they'll ignore you.

The lovely Lupita has been tapped for the Italian luxury brand, Miu Miu's 2014 Spring/Summer ad-campaign with her peers: Elle Fanning, Elizabeth Olsen and Bela Heathcote. The ad campaign was shot by the uber talented photo team, Inez & Vinoodh.

I haven't received my February issue of ESSENCE Magazine through my digital issues yet, so that can only mean that they've got one of their 'repeat cover' subjects on the cover, or they have a surprise cover featuring one of our favorites. Anyway, Lupita Nyong'o shares the February issue of W Magazine with Oprah and four other celebrities for their movie issue and while I was reading my digital issue of Vanity Fair this morning, she was inside their February issue wearing a stunning Givenchy gown. Talk about "girl on fire!"

Girl On Fire: Actress Lupita Nyong'o for ELLE UK FEBRUARY 2014

I'm going to celebrate Lupita Nyong'o and other women who would not normally receive the promotion and praise for their beauty just as long as I have a platform. Folks don't realize that while they're waiting for members of the mainstream media to promote their own ideas of beauty, there are many of us who self-validate our own existence and celebrate our beauty without waiting on the approval of others.
