Model Noémie Abigaïl for L'OFFICIEL PARIS APRIL 2016

I'm loving all of the editorials featuring Afro hairstyles in all sizes and shapes and this time L'Officiel Paris presents readers with a menswear inspired editorial. Photographer Nik Hartley captured model Noémie Abigaïl perfectly.  Stylist Vanessa Cocchiaro retained her femininity with just the perfect hint of masculinity and I love every last look!

Heat Wave: Model Betty Adewole For Marie Claire Magazine October 2015

Model Betty Adewole sets the sunny streets of Senegal ablaze in her latest editorial for the October 2015 issue of Marie Claire. I went right to the editorial once I opened up the page and saw her gorgeous photo.

First Look-Glamour Magazine March 2014: Actress Lupita Nyong'o

Many of us may love her makeup looks, so now Glamour magazine is giving us just a little taste of Lupita Nyong'o's makeup routine from some of her favorite makeup artists, whom she has worked with in the March issue of Glamour.

I think her makeup artist, Nick Barose does a wonderful job of applying Lupita's makeup. I don't know why some women shy away from bold colors, but if you're a richly hued woman like myself and Lupita, you can rock those bold and beautiful colors proudly. All it takes is confidence. Makeup artist Christian McCulloch created these makeup looks based upon Lupita's love of color.

About An It Girl: Solange Knowles for Cosmopolitan Magazine March 2014

In the March 2014 issue of Cosmopolitan magazine, Solange Knowles shines a spotlight on my wonderful city, NOLA. Under the expert eyes of one of the best dressed women on the planet, Shiona Turini, Solange was right at home in her stylish element of pastels against the backdrops of painted shotgun houses. Also included in this issue, is an editorial featuring Chanel Iman, which I posted on my Tumblr page.

Girl On Fire: Actress Lupita Nyong'o for ELLE UK FEBRUARY 2014

I'm going to celebrate Lupita Nyong'o and other women who would not normally receive the promotion and praise for their beauty just as long as I have a platform. Folks don't realize that while they're waiting for members of the mainstream media to promote their own ideas of beauty, there are many of us who self-validate our own existence and celebrate our beauty without waiting on the approval of others.

Lupita's beauty was captured by the super talented photographer James O. Roberts for the February 2014 issue of ELLE UK.

Le Look Du Jour: Marie Claire | January 2014 | Project Runway Season 12 Winner-Designer Dom Streater and Model Ray'uana Aleyce

I've finally received my digital issue of Marie Claire magazine which features Project Runway's Season 12 Winner: Dom Streater and I can honestly say I see a bright future for emerging fashion designer Dom Streater. Dom seems to have a love for color and as long as that is a part of her general aesthetic, it's alright with me. Give a woman a beautiful silhouette that flatters all shapes and vibrant colors and she will be the next successful designer to come from Project Runway.

Dom's winning model shown in her editorial is Ray'uana Aleyce. Look out world because Ray'uana Aleyce is certainly one to watch.
