Grande Dame:Jeneil Williams for Elle Magazine September 2012 by Horst Diekgerdes

I stated in an earlier post about Elle Magazine's fabulous September issue which featured Solange at her lovely Brooklyn brownstone and Jeneil Williams in a spectacular fashion editorial. Here are more photos from her editorial featuring looks from Prada to Oscar de la Renta, and is photographed by Horst Diekgerdes.

I tried to wait to see if someone would post the editorial but models.com only posted three, so I took photos of the editorial from my own magazine. They're not the best, but you can see what you need to. I don't do digital issues (I tried) and nor do I tear up my magazines to scan them.

Stylist Lester Garcia's impeccable attention to detail created ensembles with just the right amount of accessories that didn't overpower anything that Jeneil wore. Jeneil's beautiful, richly hued skin created the perfect canvas for makeup artist Maki Riyoke to create jewel toned wisps of color on her flawless skin.

I love this one her in this trapeze dress from Oscar de la Renta F/W 2012.

July is my vacation month and I haven't been posting much to this blog, but I've been on Tumblr and Pinterest everyday. Anyhoo, I've discovered another beauty, plus several other international style icons from all over the world who I'll introduce to you at a later date. I want to introduce you to Philomena if you haven't seen or heard of her.

The beautiful Philomena Kwao lives in London and is of Ghanaian heritage and is signed with Models 1 Management. Some have tried to label her as plus-size, I say that she is stunning, so bump a label. Philomena has appeared in Cosmopolitan U.K. and Pride Magazine in fashion and beauty editorials that have wowed fashion audiences around the globe. Look for more on this beautiful woman because she is definitely one to keep your eyes on.

I promised myself on my day off that I would not get online, well I lied once again after I saw these photos of Solange Knowles roll through my Tumblr dashboard. 
Solange has struck another home run in another 'printastic' fashion editorial and this time it's for Complex Magazine. I know Solange loves her prints and I'm sure she can wear anything, but pretty soon the all print editorials will start to get boring so please fashion editors, dress her in some couture and watch her rock it out!

What a way to start the day and see Solange in all her ferosh-ness on my Tumblr page for Time Out New York in the perfect colors and fashion inspiration for Spring. Solange had been on a roll way before she was signed to NEXT Modeling agency because she is a favorite of women in the Natural Hair community before the mainstream fashion industry noticed her, either way, she simply rocks. Georgie Badiel For Rivista IO Donna

As I stated earlier, the American issues are lacking this month in inspiration and it takes the Europeans and the Africans to bring in some beauty. Georgie Badiel is stunning in her African inspired editorial for the Italian magazine IO Donna donning looks from Burberry's African inspired collection to newcomer Stella Jean. Shala Monroque for VOGUE Japan/January 2012

I've been waiting for this editorial ever since I found out about and I must say photographer Tommy Ton captured the beautiful Shala Monroque in the natural beauty that surrounds her homeland, St. Lucia for her editorial titled, Island in the Sun. Stylist Aurora Sansone completed each look with just the right amount of assesories and styling to keep the editorial elegant and simply chic. Shala has an impeccable sense of style that borders on simplicity and luxury without coming off contrived and this editorial speaks volumes. Absolutely stunning!
