ONE TREND TWO WAYS: Takenya "TK Wonder" Quann and Cipriana Quann For Cosmopolitan Magazine May 2016

Just when I thought I should cancel my subscription to Next Issue Digital Magazines, Cosmo comes out with this fab editorial featuring the stylish Quann sisters, aka Takenya "TK Wonder" Quann and Cipriana Quann of the Urban Bush Babes Blog.

I might keep my subscription after all if the magazines continue featuring African descendant women and other WOC in their editorials. I don't know about that damn Harper's Bazaar, though because they hardly ever featuring anyone worth seeing. They haven't been the same since the Liz Tilberis years and I don't even see how they stay afloat. Enjoy!

ELLE Magazine November 2015: Director Ava DuVernay

Director Ava DuVernay covers Elle magazines Women in Hollywood issue in one of five covers. She looks gorgeous!

I subscribe to Next Issue for my magazines and was pleasantly surprised by this issue. I don't know what the December issue will be like, but this one had two of my favorites inside: Models Melodie Monrose and Cora Emmanuel featured in editorials.

Cora's was about fur and swimwear,  which I found odd because who wears fur to a beach? That's the fantasy of fashion and sometimes I see editorials which make no sense to me. I only screened shot one photo of her editorial (see below) which was photographed by David Bellemere, with styling by Samira Nasr.

Here's Melodie's fabulous editorial, which was also photographed by David Bellemere and also styled by Samira Nasr.

Cover Story: Actress Lupita Nyong'o Is the World's Most Beautiful

This has got to be the third most exciting event for the month of April after my daughter's and her little angel's birthday. I don't normally buy People Magazine, but I had to buy this one featuring Academy Award winning actress, Lupita Nyong'o on the cover.

Can we say stunning! Photographer Alexi Lubomirski captured Lupita at her most elegant and I know he's the go-to photographer for Lancôme Paris, so I can't wait to see her new ad-campaigns for the brand. I've been using Lancôme cosmetics for a while now and with Lupita now joining Arlenis Sosa and Jasmine Tookes as the brand representive for darker complected women of color, it's just icing on the cake, so they can expect to see me at their makeup counter quite regularly.

"I told my daughter there's a first time for everything and this was worth buying and I normally read digital magazines."

ESSENCE MAGAZINE OCTOBER 2013: Actresses Viola Davis and Danai Gurira Wow!

I feel like I've been down this path before writing about some of my favorite magazine issues, either way, it's something that I love to do. I've got to celebrate our beauty whenever I find it.

Actress Viola Davis looks beautiful on the cover of the October issue of Essence Magazine and the inside of the issue is chock full of several goodies for the eyes, complete with outstanding editorials that beg to be read.

Lets get back to Viola...all I can think of is, wow!!! She nailed this cover which was photographed by Nino Muñoz. The jewel colors look so elegant and radiant against her richly hued skin.

It pays to subscribe to your favorite magazines and my digital issue arrived in time.

I almost died and went to beauty heaven when I clicked on the editorial featuring another beauty that I admire, actress, Danai Gurira.

They're right when the titled this: "Nobdy Can Danai"
"Only fools attempt to deny our true beauty."

Danai rocked what appears to be sumptuous leathers with just the right amount of styling by, Jason Rembert, without the overkill as in  previous editorials that I've seen. Her beauty was captured by Gomillion and Leupold.

"It's all about self-love and the right to walk in this world the way we were created."
