Individuality Is A Beautiful Thing!!!

I love being me. I love people who aren't afraid to be their human selves. I admire people who aren't afraid of being themselves. I greatly admire people, especially women who don't measure themselves against the success of another woman. I love people who define and validate their own lives without the need from others.

Individuality can be a beautiful thing if more people were willing to be courageous enough to just be.

The sad reality is that individuality isn't even encouraged, nor is it allowed or even recommended. Ironically, individuality is not one of those character traits shared by everyone.


Fit in at any cost. Conform at any cost. Never stand out. I was told that I was born to stand out and I passed this same trait on to my own children. Laugh at the individual who chooses to walk to their own drumbeat all you want to but they are brave souls in a sea of cowards.

...but where do I begin???

I've got so much on my plate that I want to do, need to do and must get done that I don't know which one to tackle first. There's so much that I want to create, but I haven't taken the time to do so because of so many planned and unplanned events in my life.

I  L*O*V*E this peplum waist beauty of a Dress!

Whenever I see beauty, I want to create something of that same beauty regardless of whether if it's a painting, a photo or a garment of my own design. I want to create something that no one else has.

So when I saw the latest Vlisco fabric campaign my mind and my creativity emotions went into overload. I'm almost paralyzed by procrastination because I have tons of other ideas that I have yet to complete before I can start on another one. Sigh...what's a woman to do? I'm still totally inspired. How about you?

Diamonds Are Forever...

...And Diamonds are created through pressure.

Diamonds are resilient and hard to crack.

When a Diamond is found it is truly a sight to behold.

A Diamond is no good until it's polished and neither

are we any good without trials.

Trials come to us to make us strong.

But we should not focus on them because

we become what we focus on.

A Diamond gives off light.

So let your inner light shine.

  Bring about your reflection to light up the world. 

Showcase your brilliant facets.

Let's not look at the present challenges

facing us, but celebrate our future

by looking at our past.

Diamonds are desired by everyone.
